was talking to my dear friends about the 7 wonders of the world that day...
came home, asked Shuiyi about it...
tried to figure out what they were.
and we came up with,
great wall of China,
leaning tower of Pisa,
the stone place in Italy,
Syndey Opera House,
Eiffel Tower,
Egypt Pyramids,
Taj Mahal (India)
wasn't too sure. So we decided to go to our all time favourite, Wikipedia, to check things out. And to our horror, we only had 3 out of 7 right! If this was an exam, we would have FAILED!
According to the 7Wonders Organisation, the new 7 wonders of the world are as follows:
The Pyramid at Chichén Itzá (before 800 A.D.) Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Christ Redeemer (1931) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The Roman Colosseum (70 - 82 A.D.) Rome, Italy
The Great Wall of China (220 B.C and 1368 - 1644 A.D.) China
Machu Picchu (1460-1470), Peru
Petra (9 B.C. - 40 A.D.), Jordan
The Taj Mahal (1630 A.D.) Agra, India
Yes, there you go, the 7 wonders of the world. Later that night, we decided to come out with our own 7 wonders of our world. Namely,
